Polycystic overies??
Question: i have polycystic overies so naturally its harder for me than most other girls to keep the weight off, im ok but my belly is always puffy and no matter what i do it stays that way, i dont ever have periods and was wondering if maybe i might have to accept the fact that the rest of me is slim but my belly will always be a little bigger,or does anyone have a solution to my problem because i have no idea what to do, and yes i excerise all the time and eat very very healthy ive tried the pill and other medications but they just make me put on weight. hope someone out their may have a answer thanks heaps anyway
Answers: Sit ups won't do the trick. PCOS has many side effects and weight gain around the mid section is one. You are also possible insulin resistant. The usually go hand-in-hand. Have you been to an endocrinologist? If not, you should make an appt. Also, buy the book New Glucose Revolution Guide to Living Well with PCOS . It is a great tool for learning and living with PCOS. A simple change in diet, and in my case, Metformin, is helping me deal with this. There is even a website called PCOSupport
Do many sit-ups every day.
Don't eat any foods with sugars or starches.
i work with someone that has pco and she has the same problem, facial hair, weight problems and fertility problems. do you see a gyn or specialist? i know the person i work with see's a specialist.
good luck
PCO sucks Im in the same boat as you. But what I hate most is facial hair that Im always plucking and waxing myself coz Im too embarrassed to get it done by professionals.
