Menstral Cramps??
Question: What is affective? I've taken Midol, Ibuprofen, Aspirin, you name it, I've taken it and none seem to do anything. My cramps are unbearable at times and I just need a solution...quick=/
Answers: Milk/dairy products will only give you gas. Drink some Chamomile tea, hot of course and relax. Try some Aleve or any type of over the counter drug that has naproxen in it. The naproxen will treat the inflammation.
Of course a calcium supplement won't give her gas, but milk/dairy products will only make her stomach full. She is trying to get rid of a problem not add to it!
Lay down, relax, and put a heating pad on your lower abdomen, and/or massage your lower abdomen. Your uterus is one big muscle, and your cramps are from it contracting to expel the blood and uterine lining. So, it's good to treat it like any other muscle ache, which is why I said heat and massage. Also, calcium is supposed to help as well - so, drink a glass of milk, have some ice cream, or take a calcium supplement.
p.s., whether or not milk/dairy products give someone gas is completely individual to the person... no one should tell that that *will* happen to you. Besides, if that were the case, then a calcium supplement would be fine, because they don't contain dairy...
Birth control can help a great deal. You would have to be seen by a doctor for a script. There may be other reasons for the cramps, like polycystic ovaries.
call your doctor and ask them.. other than that i can't help you.
