Laxative of choice??
Question: Dulcolax Perles? anyone tried them?
Hi all,
Suffering with the bunged up bowels, tried the fruit juices, and strong black coffee and even the fibre / prunes route and still no go! 4 days and desperate for a solution.
My sister's friend said the new Dulcolax Perles things are good but wanted a recommendation from a user, any experiences?
Thanks
Sally
Answers: Dulcolax has been around for many years and is used by doctors in hospitals.
I have not tried or heard of the Perles until your question. The Dulcolax website (http://www.dulcolax.co.uk/uk/Main/Dulcol...
mentions that it is a new product that is a lighter dose of laxative .... so that you can be flexible in choosing the level of relief you require.
I would say you should read the pkg about dosing, but if you are as desperate as you say, it will probably work. It's just a question of how much.
Hot prune juice, followed by a full glass of water and sit-ups.
Don't try to fix this with a laxative! Get a stool softener. I've had the best results with Women's Correctall . Get maximum strength
if they have it. If you need to, double up on the dosage. You're plugged up because you have a hard piece of stool somewhere in your intestines. A stool softener will soften everything up and things should be flowing smoothly in no time. If you take laxatives, whats going to happen is the laxative is going to turn everything that's behind the hard stool into water, thus allowing it to flow past your blockage because everything is liquefied. But your hard blockage will still be there and you'll still have the same problem...only now with the diarrhea!
Metamucil.
Have fun
Personal experience - try an 8 ox glass of warm/hot water with 3 tablespoons of Epsom Salts dissolved in it. Tastes beyond horrid, but always works fast and effectively. Good Luck!
