Is this breast milk??? If so what could be causing it???
Question: The last few months my breast have been realy sore around my period, I have had three children and nursed them all, my youngest is nine. But for some reason it feels like they are producing a smlll amount of milk, I squeezed my nipple and a couple of small drops of liquid came out. I m just ending my menstrual cycle so and I did a pregnancy test a week ago that was negative so I know I'm not pregnant.
Answers: Back in '05 I began lactating and I knew that I wasn't pregnant. I called my gyn and told her what was going on. She ordered some bloodwork to check my prolactin levels, they were elevated. I was then sent for an MRI scan of the brain... it showed that I have a small pituitary tumor.
Rest assured, this type of thing is always BENIGN (harmless) and does not lead to cancer.
Call your gyn. She/he might do the blood work to check your prolactin levels and then go from there.
If you are taking different kinds of medicines that could be the problem, I was on several different meds. and it happened to me.
This happened to my sister, but unfortunately, I can't remember the outcome....but I know she wasn't pregnant. check with your doctor.
I don't mean to scare you, but go to your Gynecologist to get evaluated as nipple discharge is one indicator of cancer. It is very possible it is something else that is causing this, but why take chances as you already have 3 children? Make an appointment asap.
you maybe pregnant or lactating...........
Certain medications can cause your prolactin levels to become elevated or they can be elevated by pitiutary tumors. Breast discharge can also be caused by cancer. Your best bet is to have your gyn check you out and do blood work.
im not exactly sure, but i never had a child and that has happened to me also.
it is just cause of hormonal change in your body one example reason for it is gaining age
