I can somehow make my eyes rapidly shake, what's going on and is this bad??
Question: Ever since I was in elementary school I've been able to somehow make my eyes rapidly shake on command. What's going on? Is there a scientific term for this? Are very many people able to do this? Could it hurt my eyes?
Answers: Its called nystagmus.. but thats involuntary movement so Im not exactly sure. Its vary rare that a person has conscience control over something like this. I doubt its good for you to do it very often. Its usually an unconscience effect of being under the influence.. when a person starts to lose control of their body the eyes are one of the first 'tells'. You should look it up on WebMD.com
It.s natural. Some people can and some pope, can't. it's like whistling.
LOOK:
How to shake your eyes.
1. Focus on a certain point. Many people first learn by focusing on their finger.
2. cross your eyes slightly.
3. Close your eyes a little like you feel sleepy and it should help to vibrate it.
4. Experiment with this! You probably won't get it the first couple times but it's definitely possible to learn! You know you've got it if your finger just suddenly jerkes around and your eye feels weird. The feeling in your eye goes away after you do it some more.
I also can do this.. along with keeping one eye straight and make the other eye go side to side.
It's because your eye muscles are looser and you have more control over them then normal.. there is nothing wrong though.. more or less will just give you a headache if done too much.
you shouldnt do it until you know for sure that it wont cause damage to your eyes . just check with a doctor if its normal but i wouldnt consider it as a emergency check up
no my friend can do that its so cool!!!
you might want to get that checked by a doctor
