Big favor! i need some help with getting my contacts in...every morning i strugle and cant do it??

Question: any tips would really help!!
Answers: I can't stick mine straight onto my iris and pupil, so this is what I do. I look up and stick it on the white part, then look all around and it moves right where it's supposed to be. It is the only way I can get mine in. You might try it.
The best tip I heard was to look at yourself in the mirror, but as you approach with the contact on your finger, focus as much as you can on the mirror--watching yourself as you apply the contact; try to make this override what you are also seeing--your finger coming into your eye! It takes a little practice, but if you focus on your reflection in the mirror, you can really cut down on your blink reflex.

And as someone else mentioned, I find it helpful to apply on the white, under the eye, and then gently slide the lens up and over the iris after it achieves suction. A few blinks and it's usually seated perfectly...
The optician shouldn't let you take them away before you can put them in properly. Some people use mirrors and some people prefer not to use a mirror, try both ways. It took me a long time to get them in, but now I can do them straight away. You should go to see your optician, they will help you with this
I have found that opening my mouth while putting them in makes it so much easier. It may sound dumb but it's the same thing with many women and eye makeup. Something about opening your mouth wide makes your eyes open wider.
I look to my right then put the contact close to my eye then look straight ahead and put it in Don't ever look at the contacts directly when you put it in. I don't really focus on looking directly at my eyes in the mirror. being relaxed helps. Do it without a whole lot of thinking. I hope you are a beginner because after awhile you should get the hang of it. when i first had them i struggled for a while but eventually i got the hang of it so its possible.
umm, why not just wear glasses? ;) I can't poke myself in the eye for contacts.
after you rinse the lens, place it on the back of your hand, allow the skin and hair on the back of you hand to soak up the rest of the moisture from the lens. Then when the lens is not so wet, it should be able to stick properly to your eye
When I do practice sessions with patients, I always tell them these tips:
Make sure you get the death grip on your lids... you want to hold your top lid up and pull your bottom lid down, but pull the bottom lid down directly under your pupil (the black center) this is where you have the widest opening.
Then you want to make sure you stare right in the mirror with BOTH eyes open, because when one eye shuts, the other wants to as well. Then just place the contact on your eye.. when you feel it suction on, dont blink right away... look up, look down, and give it time to settle.
Hopefully that helps!! Good luck!
