My eyes have a toxo, can my eyes be done lasik??

Question: my right eyes has a toxo on the center of retina and my left has this problem too but not on the center of retina. i want to take a lasik for my left eye. Can this be done??
Answers: By toxo I'm guessing you mean toxoplasmosis? Toxo is a pathological condition caused by toxoplasma gondii. It affects many tissues in the body including the retina. Toxo can leave some pretty bad scars so it needs to be monitored closely. As far as the LASIK goes I would get a second opinion on weather it can be done or not LASIK affects the cornea more then the retina but toxo can recur and cause more damage. So your ophthalmologist would be your best source for answers. Good luck!!
Most Lasik evaluations are free, ask the Dr
