The eye doctor says I have a cornea ulcer but I do not feel any pain.??

Question: It's my faulty really because i nap in my contacts pretty much everyday. Even though I wear daily disposable contact lenses, i often take them out at night before washing my hands, but i put them in every morning after washing my hand. But when he diagnosed it, he advised me not to wear contact lenses for 24 hours. So I'm assuming it's not so serious and plus I do not feel any discomfort. Are there any chances that I need to be hospitalized, require surgery, or go blind?
Answers: Wearing dirty contacts is the number one way of getting a corneal ulcer. The cornea does not have a blood supply so any infection can be very serious. Do change your habits and clean your contacts before you wear them. Corneal ulcers can be extremely difficult to treat and if they perforate then blindness can be the outcome. Blindness like white canes, braille, books on tape. Well you get the idea, take this very seriously.
