What do you think about laser eye surgery such as Lasik/Lasek??
Answers: I work in the industry and would be happy to answer whatever questions you have relating to the various procedures. Now before anyone jumps on the bandwagon and accuses me of marketing - I have no such intent. If you want the inside information related to the various risks and the real statistics that the companies only reveal with a hint of 'honestish' then ask. For obvious reasons I cannot say who I work for, but needless to say I have worked for one of the largest and one of the smallest. The differences are quite stark depending on where you go.
My partner has just had laser treatment and its fantastic he could barely see the paper without being up close now hes reading things clearer and at a further distance than me.id say its well worth the treatment and the money.
LASIK is short form for Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis, the procedure involves peeling back a small section from the top of the cornea.
As a record, I think there are at least a million people who had successful LASIK operation around the world so I think it is a great, safe way to improve your eyesight
I had lasik a year ago! fan-bloody-tastic! could barely see , now have 20.5 vision .I used optimax and i would highly recommend them.
had a little discomfort for 24 hrs after op, then no problems what so ever after that.
I had it exactly one year ago today. I LOVE it!!

i had it 7 or 8 years ago and it went wrong with one eye , it was blurry after 3 month of use and the other is fine, i had the other done again even though you lose more cornea everytime you enhance it so it is advisable to go to a top notch place and get the latest gear ..lasik is ok but beaware the things may not be perfect ..eg flutuations in sight in the morning and night blindness can happen..if you like sport and fun stuff and have a live and let live attuitude go for it as it so good not wearing glasses but only glasses can give you perfect eyesight in my mind..
