What is the best food to eat when you have heartburn??
Question: I heard carrots, milk, and water all help stop heartburn...
Answers: They may not stop heartburn, but they won't contribute to it. Drinking plenty of water will help, because it helps move the food down the digestive track, and helps with digestion.
Some foods to stay away from to keep from getting heartburn are, onion (cooked or raw), Barbecue, spices such as curry and Cayenne pepper, green peppers. Adding fiber to your diet will help, cut down on red meats. Eat your meats boiled, broiled or baked. Stay away from smoked foods and fried foods. If you like tomatoes, buy a low acidic tomatoe like the little cherry tomatoes. But it is better to stay away from tomatoes or tomatoe based products. Of course health care providers also recommend staying away from caffeinated beverages such as tea and coffee, and stay away from carbonated drinks.
If you get heartburn, the only thing that will truly stop it, is something that will neutralize the acids in your stomach.
Usually have crackers or pretzels .. tums work wonders too
water with baking soda ( sodium bicarbonate) works well, as it soaks up acid and helps. good luck
yeah drink loadsa milk and whitebread!
ot talk to someone rle boring . . .
Milk, bread..bland things.
I don't know about carrots, most fruits and vegetables actually make my stomach hurt if there is already a lot of acid. Milk is a good one, but the best thing that you can do is to take some antiacids. The active ingredient in these is calcium bicarbonate/carbonate--which is also in baking soda, and lemme tell ya, this stuff works. If antiacids don't help then you are either eating way too much junk food, or you have a more serious problem and should see a doctor.
i eat pizza it helps me. everybody's different in there own special way.
