My cousin was drowning in a whirlpool while kayaking.
He said the dying part didn't hurt at all, it was the struggle to stay alive that hurt.
(BTW, he had to have CPR and spent a few days in the hospital)

i doubt it hurts, i think a person just lose consciousness quickly when he/she dies
If you die of cancer it is a very painful death. I watched my aunt die and she was in excruciating pain.That is a horrendous way to die.
If you die a slow lingering death and you are awake, it is painful, but in a coma, it is not known to be painful because the pain does not register on an EEG.
If you die instantly there is no pain.

It does not hurt. You just see your loved ones for the last time,,,or the doctors, and then you go all black. Enter the gates of heaven.

How it feels when you die depends on how you die. It probably DOES hurt when you die painfully slow, but once you're dead all the pain is gone.
The first two times were great, but on the third and fourth time, I had a headache.

Why do you want to know this? Don't be afraid to die. It all depends on HOW you die of course but God shelters you, God cushions you. Please do not worry about this. Worry about living your life each moment. Because this moment is all we have for sure. MUAH!
