Any solutions for herniated back problems??
Question: Is surgery the only solution? I have had 2 epidural and it didnt help.
Answers: No surgery is not always the answer, but, not looking at your x-rays, it is difficult to make a diagnosis. Please obtain 2nd - 3rd - or perhaps even four opinions, before you decide to go for the surgery.
omg surgery is the last option...in 08/13/03 i had 2 discs in my neck removed...with bone fusing a steel plate with 6 screws..omg ...dont do it unless you have at least 6 options,,,,i was told it would fix every thing...well hell yes it did!!1 NOW I SUFFER 23 hr days of pain all through my neck mid and upper back....if i could go back in time i would have never had surgery.......its the biggest mistake of my life......good luck.ok......the injections are not good...stop them..it will make things worse..tc
I had a herniated disc in my neck. I refused the injections as they are only a temporary fix (if they work at all). I elected to do surgery as soon as it could be done; I was out of the hospital in about 24 hours. I feel great and would do it again.
whatever you do stop the epidurals!! I took those for almost 3 years and no help in the long run. I have degenerative disc disease with bulging discs and surgery isn't an option. If it were me I would opt for surgery before continuing epidurals,they are dangerous and what relief you get isn't worth the price you will pay in the end.
A friend of mine had two discs that ruptured and he had to have surgery to repair. It took him six weeks to recover after the surgery. Now he had two and he had lots of complications. Your Doctor can best advise.
there is a treatment where they put you in a bed and stretch you reliving the pressure and giving you body a chance to heal this will be my best option
