Knee/leg problem??

Question: Sometimes when I get up from setting somewhere on a low couch or from crouching, my knee feels like it is shifting. Its a sharp quick pain, like the area between where my leg & thigh are connected, its feels like its being dislocated. And when it happens, I hear a pop kind of noise. It doesn't hurt after it happens either. Does anyone know what this is or what it can be caused by? And solutions? Thanks.
Answers: cartlidge , pop is bones rubbing together, quite normal
I have the same exact thing, I never had it until I had major reconstructive knee surgery last year though, so I think it has something to do with that.... if it bothers you you should see a doctor. You may have some torn cartiledge in there, or you could have Patella femoral stress syndrome - i've had that too and the symptoms can be somewhat similar.
it sounds like a dislocated knee (the shifting and popping lead me to think that)---this usually happened during running season

you may also want to get your knee checked out for cartiledge build up or fluid build up---as these can also cause problems with the knee and popping sounds
