Best solution for nose bleeding??
Question: my nose bleed for no apparent reason but what's the best way to stop it from bleeding? thanks
Answers: squeeze your nostrils together with a tissue tightly and hold it like that looking slightly down for about 10 -15 mins
Lean forward, pinch your nose, and the ice pack goes to the back of your neck. This is our nosebleed protocol and it works.
If you allow the blood to run down the back of your throat and into your stomach, it can cause gastric irritation/vomiting.
Pinch the bridge of your nose and put your head forward while sitting up.
If the nose bleed lasts more than 15 Min's go to see the doctor.
try not to pick your nose or cough or blow your nose until half hour after the bleed has stopped as you could set it off again.
The quickest and most efficient way to stop nose bleeding is to break out the Kleenex. Gently squeeze the sinuses near the top of your nose, or pinch the nostrils shut. Generally the bleeding will subside in anywhere from 2-5 min.'s. If not, though, the second step is to apply an ice pack to your nose (continue pinching). This will help to contract the blood vessels, therefore making it more likely that the bleeding will subside. The last step, if steps one and two don't work, is to keep both of the first two in place, and roll a small piece of gauze into a cigarette-sized piece. Put it underneath your upper lip, as far up as it will go. This puts pressure on the nerve up there, and will eventually stop the bleeding.
