I don't think my cat had his rabies shot.. he bit me am I going to get sick???
Question: I was laying down.. and I rolled over and onto my cat.. and squishy-ed him and he bit my shoulder hard :( uhm it's pinkish and it feels and kinda looks like a bruise one tooth dug a little deep.. this happened yesterday around 7... could I get sick or something like sick and die o.o or my arm falls off.. I hate losing arms '-.-
He's not like all crazy.. he just bit me cause he got scared
he's a house cat and he's about 11 months old
If I can get sick.. is there something other than a shot that I can get like.. pills (I'm afraid of having air bubbles accidently injected T.T)
Please help & thankies
Answers: It sounds like your cat reacted to being squished and not that he was striking out because he is rabid. I would be more worried about the bite wound at this point as it does not sound like you are a candidate for rabies injections based on my recent knowledge. ( I had to take these shots myself)
A cats mouth contains a multitude of bacteria and also the deadly staff virus. In many cases you may require a tetanus shot as well as some antibiotics. Heres a site you might find helpful and informative concerning cat bites.

if he doesnt have his rabies shot, i suggest u go 2 a doctor and check out the wound.
if he has already had a rabbies shot thats good,
but you should wash it very well and put neosporan on it, you could get a staff infection if you dont wash it!!!!
GOOD LUCK!
