Do I have some kind of a sleeping disorder or something??
Question: Ok, here's the problem... for the past year or so, I've been having random bursts of exhaustion. For instance, it could be 9:40p.m., and I'm wide awake and full of energy, then by 9:43, I could be completely exhausted! It happens randomly daily. Here's the thing... I'm only 17! It happens on the weekend just as well as on the weekdays.
Answers: Check into sleep abnia or sleep apnia lol not sure which I have it its crazy. You will get a cpap machine to wear at night. I feel like darth vadar.
Are you overweight? It could be sleep apnea. See a physician.
It's not likely to be sleep apnea, in which you keep waking up through the night and are exhausted all through the day, even taking naps during the day.
You could have a mild form of narcolepsy or you may have a heart arrhythmia that could prove fatal if it occurs while you are playing sports or driving.
You could have the beginnings of diabetes, especially if it happens within two hours or so of eating.
You should get a thorough checkup and explain your symptoms completely to your doctor.
That is absolutely normal for your age, and you will find that this will last until you are 21 or 22. Keep good sleep hygiene and it will help, but not eliminate this problem. Hard to avoid in college, but keep the late night/all night partying to a minimum, if you want to avoid that happening as much as possible.
I think it has something to do with the fact that you are still growing and the brain is still developing. I had episodes of sleepwalking, and sleep paralysis as well as those close to narcolepsy attacks for those years. Kinda strange, isn't it?
yes
That could be any number of things. I would recommend a visit to your doctor. They would be able to pinpoint more accurately what the possibilities are for exhaustion and such.
Talk to your family Doc. You might have a number of things, could even be narcolepsy. Best of luck to you!
You may suffer from sleeping disorder.Read this carefully.
Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.
