Answers: TMJ or temporomandibular joint can be severe, it will affect hearing, give you headaches, face pain, neck & shoulder pain. See a dr. if you thin you have it, and they will tell you what to do.

if you're asking if it's severe, it depends on the case. mine would probably be considered severe because my jaw is constantly locked and usually hurts, plus it causes earaches. last year, it wasn't so severe--it locked periodically and wasn't as painful, but it did get worse because it wasn't treated sufficiently.
