This is no joke. What causes an extreme amount of gas? It needs to be released all day long and during night?

Question: I don't believe it's my diet. It can be quite embarrassing and frustrating. The odor is very strong. I'm wondering if it's some stomach disorder and I need to be seen by a doctor. This has been going on for some time. I'm a 51 year old female.
Answers: In my experience as a wholistic practitoner, lack of good bacteria in the bowel is a likely contributor to this. When food ferments and goes undigested, it gives off gas and smell. So, if I were you I would consider digestive enzymes, probiotics, and colon cleansing. Did you know you should have between 3 & 4 pounds of GOOD bacteria in your gut? If you have EVER been on anti-biotics, that has been comprimised?
Also, did you know you should have a bowel movement for each meal you have during the day?
Foods like cabbage, etc.
The combination of foods.
Drinking soda pop.
Drinking too fast and swollowing air. Talking while eating also may let in too much air.
Diet. Also stomach problems such as duodonal ulcer. I have one and cannot eat gas producing foods without extreme pain.
its caused by heat and dampness in the body somewhere.. the diet, try to stay away from dairy and spicy foods. see if that helps.
Sounds like IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) Good doc can help u control that..
you could have an irritable bowel, the doc can help with that
beans
get checked for a yeast infection in your bowels.
I amy be your diet. Do you eat a lot of broccli and other green veggies as such cause these are major gas makers. If this really is not a diet issue I would consult with my physician. Some people are just gassy too, like my hubby.
diet cole can cause that, artificial sweeteners can be the cause...
The food you eat...
Try seeing a natural health specialist -- you may be lacking enzymes in your digestive system. It could be as simple as taking a few herbal supplements or doing a bowel cleanse (not as gross as it sounds). Keep in mind that your intestines are really long and sometimes, they don't work 100% perfectly and things get stuck there... you get bloated and gassy. Good luck.
It could be Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). There is really a variety of things that can cause excessive gas. It might not be a bad idea to speak with your doctor, and he or she can refer you to a specialist if they feel it is needed. It's probably nothing major, but it might be a food allergy or sensitivity too. Does not hurt to get it checked out.
