Software engineer having finger pain like numbness reason and solution for that??

Answers: Probably Carpal Tunnel Syndrome which is quite common. People who work with computers, cashiers, or occupations that require alot of wrist motion, are more prone to develop this. The nerves in the wrist region become compressed in the canal that they are connected to. There is less room for the nerve ending because the repetitive motions can thicken the canal. There are wrist splints available to maintain stability of the wrist. But, the best advice would be to contact your Doc so that he/she can evaluate you and decide the best treatment option for you. I hope that this helps and Good Luck!!
get wrist braces that prevent bending at the wrist. wear them while you sleep only. if it is carpal tunnel syndrome the braces at night will help. also follow suggestions of poster #1 re stretching, etc.
Sounds like carpal tunnel which is pretty common for SE's.

Make sure you take time out of your day at your PC to stretch your fingers and wrists. Since you sit for long periods of the day make sure you also stretch your back and neck regularly too.
