Stomach ache??

Question: can u die frm gallbladder
Answers: Well. Info in your question is a bit sparse. I do not know if you can actually die from it, but I do know it can make your life a living hell and can really compromise your health. Surgery methods have improved dramatically since my mom had gallbladder surgery in 1989. I understand that they can do something with lasers or ultra sound or something without even making an incision. If they had that technology in 1989, my mom may have survived.

Good Luck.
You don't die from a gallbladder attack, but you wish you could. It's extremely painful. My symptoms were sharp pains in the middle of my stomach, it felt like I was being stabbed in the back (between my shoulder blades) with a long knife. I had severe chills and couldn't get warm enough. After the 3rd attack (which always happened in the middle of the night) I finally went to the Emergency room. They have medication to help the attack pass. You can get a prescription for it to keep at home should you get any more until you can make an appointment with a surgeon to take out your gallbladder. You have to go for some ultrasound testings to confirm that it's the correct diagnosis.
Surgery is quick, maybe stay overnight, and then back home. It takes about a week to heal completely. They poke about 4 very small holes in your abdomen to take it out, so there are no ugly scars like in the past.

See your doctor if you think you are having an attack. It will pass in less that 6 hours (usually) but that's a long time to suffer.

Of course, it could be something competely different. Make an appointment or go to the ER if you are in severe crippling pain.

Good luck.

ps. I'm so sorry for your loss Rush. How tragic.
