2. Spiritual support depending on the religious faith or the spiritual beliefs of the pt. You may call pastoral care or the rabbi for the dying pt
3. Anxiety control is very important. Usually the pt who is dying has some anxiety and sometimes drugs such as ativan, haldol, etc.. are used to treat anxiety.
4. Family support. especially in the eldery. Make sure the husband or wife of the dying pt is comfortable and has time to spend with their dying relative to speak peace and have closure. It could be their last days or hours with someone they have spent 70 yrs with
5. Physical support of the dying is important. Sometimes just a leg rub or combing their hair or giving them a few ice chips or propping their legs up on a pillow
