Celexa Side Effects? Brain "Shocks"???

Question: I've been on Celexa for almost a year now, and I've noticed that if I forget to take it at the exact same time as the day before, that i get extremely light headed and my brain just feels strange overalll....i cant even explain it. I feel like my body is jello and im dying or something....like my body is about to collapse.
Also, I got these brain shocks that last half a second, but it is really freaky and feels like electricity surging through my brain....i just started getting it in the middle of the night if my pill is just an hour or two off.
Im thinking it might be time to up my dossage or something...? Im 105 lbs 5'6 so my dossage is pretty low....and my anxiety/depression is pretty much completely gone...

So i was wondering if anyone has experienced these sides effects and what did you do about it?
Answers: Yeah, I'm on celexa as well and if I forget to take a dose on time, I get that. I just try to take it on time, and eating/drinking when I take my pill sometimes helps
Ive taken celexa for many years now, and Ive never felt anything like that. I did notice, though, that if i stopped taking it for a couple of days there was a real diff in the way I felt. I read through leaflets pretty thouroughly as well and im sure i didnt read anything like that.
I'm assuming your dossage is 20mg? Maybe you should talk to your psychiatrist about cutting the pill in half. Of course, before making any decisions, talk to you doc. abruptly stopping anti depressants can be dangerous
I had the same problem with Effexor and Zoloft. I was on a ridiculously high dose of Effexor, so it has nothing to do with dosing. It's just withdrawal. I decided to get off all prescription drugs this year so I had to deal with Effexor withdrawal for a solid month, even though I weaned myself off VERY gradually. You say your anxiety/depression is pretty much completely gone... do you mean you're ready to stop taking it? If you are, I strongly suggest you talk to your psychiatrist and have them tell you exactly how to wean yourself off slowly, or else it will be excruciating.
