Water retention in legs and feet??
Question: Can water retention in your legs also cause extreme pain in the same area? Or is water retention not usually painful, thanks in advance x
Answers: it can cause some pain depending on how much water you are retaining, when you swell your skin stretches and pulls tight and that would not be comfortable. However if you are retaing that much water you really should get to your doctor quickly to find out why, and to get on a diuretic.
water retention is usually not very painful...it could be that your circulation is bad in your legs which could lead to varicose veins forming... flight socks are great for this if your standing all day
It can cause some pain and stiffness, but extreme pain? No, I wouldn't think so, unless the water retention is very severe. You probably better consult a doctor.

Yes, I suffer from this it can be painful at times.
it can be painful. try not to eat any salt before you go to bed. you can also buy over the counter water pills, that will help you loose some of the excess liquid.
Normally your part will swell and cause pain and numbness in many cases. Seeking medical care is a most. Good luck..
Well, I wouldn't say extreme pain, but definitely uncomfortable.
I am not sure if this occurs with you often or not, but you should see your doctor soon. Severe edema in the legs can often be a sign of heart failure. Be careful and good luck!
If there is a large amount of fluid, the skin can be tight and it will be tender. The other concern I would have is that it is the cause of the oedema is responsible for the pain. You say feet, so clot is unlikely. Are there any red areas suggesting cellulitis or even erythema nodosum? There are a number of options so I advise going to see your GP.
It is bothering, and it can be painful too. I had a terrible experience with the bc pill jasmin and I had to leave it due to that, my legs were in pain indeed.
If that happens to you, you must have vascular problems maybe, are you on bc pills? or maybe pregnant, this is very commons and you can heal it with any hammamelis cream or any cream for spider vains of for legs.
That calms the pain.
Good luck! ;D
oh yes they can better go to the doctor.
