A cure for sunburns??

Question: Can anyone help me with a cure for sunburns? I tried a milk bath and aloe, but nothing helps. I was really stupid and laid in a tanning bed wayyy longer than i should have and now i have a burn on my back and stomach. The milk helped take out some of the pain, but what can i do to prevent peeling?
Answers: Peeling is necessary, to shed the dead skin cells (possibly very damaged ones that could have developed cancer later!).
Continue using aloe vera.
Ummm....don't fake tan yourself anymore?
Hope it stops hurting soon-
Burn is inflammation. It creates loads of free radicals.
You should be taking plenty anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatories (preferably natural ones such as high potency bromelain). Rubbing on and eating extra virgin coconut oil is excellent, too. So is aloe vera gel (the real stuff)
if the epidemis (the upper layer of skin) is already hurt most probably it will peel. My advice will be plenty of lotion and with cooling effects kind. It'll helps to alleviate some pain and promote healing.
Rub white vinegar on it right away to remove some of the discomfort

there is this gel called ocean potion and it is a blue color. If you can find it, it is the best thing ever! I would put it onto a really bad sunburn and it would be gone in a few days. it also feels really good if you put it in the fridge.
Noxema
A lot of moisturizing prevents the severity of peeling. I drink a lot (not too much) water and moisterize and never let my skin dry. But once youre sunburned, your burnt, Deal w/the pain and do all u can (like wat i said)
A freind recommended this to me years ago in nursing school. Make tea (like lipton, whatever) but make it very super strong using lots of tea bags and boiling water. Once it cools, and I'm sure you could ice it down or stick it in the fridge or freezer for a bit, then put it into a squirt bottle and spray it onto your skin. It's something in the tea, forgot the name, but it acts as an analgesic to burns.
Unfortunately, with a horrible sunburn I attempted this, desperately pouring the boiling water into the pitcher of tea bags, but since I used a glass pitcher (I have no idea what I was thinking), it exploded and I ended up with second degree burns on both my thighs. That was significantly more painful than the sunburn.. Please do not use a glass pitcher!! Let me know if it works, I never did get a chance to find out...turned out the vicodin they gave me for the burns was enough!
dont think you can stop peeling. i did same thing a long time ago. i had blisters the size of a half dollar on chest and back. the skin is dead so it will peel. back then all we did was put a little thin oil on it so skin wouldnt dry out
