Help me! I may be dying!??

Question: Please help me. I am only 13 years old. It happened today in ninth period, when I stood up, my lower torso started killing me. It hurt for maybe 10 minutes, and it started to go away in 10th period. When i got home, i went pee, and thats when it started to hurt a lot. I can feel it now, but it doesnt hurt as much. It hurts right below my belly button. Also, I have been out of sorts all day, with a head cold, and no appetite, or livelyhood (thats weird for me) I looked up appendicitis in this medical book, and i have all of the symptoms that have to do with it. It says that i need to get it removed. Can you tell me what you think, or give me some suggestions on how to treat it, or some websites to research? It says you should get it removed after at most 2 days!!! PLEASE HELP ME!

First relax. This sounds like a urinary trac infection. You do need to be see by your doctor. Left untreated it can and will effect your kidneys. This is common and easily treated early on.

Maybe you have gas...

If you have the symptoms of appendicitis, it could swell and rupture. That is life-threatening! There is no cure for appendicitis. You CAN'T treat it. The only way for it to go away is to have it removed. Most appendectomies (removal of the appendix) are laparoscopic now. This is a TINY incision where they insert a camera and special instruments. You heal very quickly! It's not that bad. Don't be scared. Go talk to your parents right now!
