I know this sounds very gruesome but...??

Question: I know this sounds very gruesome, but I was wondering, what happens if you are have a conjoined twin, and they die but you are still alive? Or is that even possible?

Just curious...
Answers: Conjoined twins have been successfully separated. If all the organs are present in each person, it's a matter of separating muscle, tissue and bone.

Ohhhh. They have a lot of shows about it on Discovery Health Channel. It does depend on where you are conjoined. If you are conjoined by the heart, then the other twin will keep it's sibling alive. If they are conjoined in an area vital to life, then the failure of one twin will kill the other. Often, when they try to separate them, one dies. Sometimes it is necessary to decide to not try to save the weaker twin. If there is no threat, then they will wait until the babies are older and more healthy to separate them.

Go to discoveryhealth.com and check it out for yourself. It's pretty interesting.
I think usually when this happenes the other one dies within a couple hours of the other one....that is kinda strange to think about though
I was conjoined to two other people. I was the middle person. both of them died but i still carry around my sisters arm and some of my brothers black hair.
yh it is possible, there was a program about it ages ago tho , but it also depends on where u are joined and if the other twin will want to walk around with their dead sis or bro on them lol =)
It depends where you are conjoined. If there are organs shared, the other twin will die shortly after. But if you are joined only by skin, i'm sure that the other would live...
