How much of a chance does my mom have of living??
Question: My mom is 36 of age she has been having heart problems for the past 2 to 3 years now she might be going in to have heart surgery with a weak heart so how much of a chance does my mom have of surviving on the table and after shes out of the hospital i'm just 15 and i worry more about my mom dieing then my 18 year old sister and my 14 year old sister not trying to act ramatic or anything but they aren't even breaking a sweat over our mom going into heart surgery which for me im scared to death of her dieing
Answers: She'll be OK. I recently had a quadruple heart bypass and I didn't even know my arteries were 100% clogged, until I had that little heart attack (I am just alittle older then your mom). There was no heart damage, which is a good thing. But, I see people every single week who have had a stent or two put in or a bypass and more...And some people have had more than one surgery. I think your mom will be fine, as long as she makes sure her blood pressure and cholesterol are good, and she exercises, and eats reasonably and sees her doctor regularly, for any tests she might need. Also, my husband has been in the medical device field for years, and we are pretty much up to date on all the great, new technologies out there. Survival rates are so much higher now, then in the past. So, put your faith in the doctors and your Higher Power and be positive.
I wish you all the best!
nothing will happen...she will b alright on tablets...keep her happy.
She'll be alright..Ive benn through something like that too shell be okay :)
It's OK, it is not such a drastic surgery, just care about your mom, and leave the others aside.
She will be coming home to join the family , and you will be one happy family again.
Best of luck.
It depends what kind of heart surgery she's having and what her health is like. Remember, heart surgery now a days is very common. There are obviously serious risks, but stay positive. Every day people have heart surgery and do just fine. And even though your sisters don't seem worried, Im sure inside they are. Also, it might make you feel better to voice your concern to your mom. Let her know you're scared- she 'll probably make you feel better :)
She will be fine don't worrie people always go into heart surgery my Grandmother went into surgery because of her back now she is ok from what i hear but anyway she is 78 years old so anyway she will be fine
Relax a little . . . heart surgery is very common and she should be fine. I have the same problem . . . My mother is 62 and going in for artery surgery next month. When you get nervous, pray and visualize your mother surrounded by God's white light. This is what works for me and I hope it works for you as well. I'll be praying for your mother as well . . . best wishes.
I had heart surgery when I was 18 now I'm 21, depending on the surgery and weakness of the Heart, the surgeons are good, I would say she has a very good chance of making it, I havent had a single problem since my surgery which, I had my Aortic Valve replaced,
I hope she will be as good as new,
Good luck
