How can i lose 3-4 pounds a week????


Question: I know you have to eat less then you burn
so 1,200 calories a day

heres a sample menu:

b: special k 1/ ff milk- 4 egg whites
s: apple
l: chicken and veggies
s: protein buger
d: chicken or fish and veggies

if i do this and workout 30 min everyday
will i be able to lose 3-4 pounds a week??

Answers: No one can answer that since every person is different. If you eat a lot of salt, that has no calories, you can gain weight. Most of the weight loss info makes people fatter and depressed like cutting carbs, calories or fat.

Which has more calories: a plain potato or one with a healthy fat like olive oil (extra virgin and cold pressed)? The latter. Which is more fattening? The former. How can this be? The fat slows down the calories going into the blood (see glycemic load and glycemic index).

Based on your age, height and weight, you are of a very good weight, maybe 10 lbs over. Your diet seems to bee very heavy on meat and dairy products which are the most fattening foods of all. Try to eat more salads (without cheese or meat toppings) and steamed veggies, or fresh fruit. Simply drink more water, and cut down your normal meal size to half and you will notice a change in your weight. However remember to exercise too!
I've lost up to 6 lbs in a week following the South Beach Diet, and a total of 10 for the first 2 weeks in Phase 1 of the diet.. it worked for me, although it does not work for everybody. I did notice that if I introduced carbs back into my diet too quickly, the weight came back.

you prob need to exercise more than 30min a day.

get a sweat suit from a sports shop, like the boxers use before a weigh in, but keep your fluid intake high.

4 lbs a week is a lot over a sustained period of time, maybe set your sights a little lower......
Try this: more fiber...like fresh veggies and fruits, more fluids like water, and start walking each day, start out slowly then advance your time walking weekly...the lbs. will come off. Avoid these foods: canned foods (salt), pizza, fast foods, candy and junk foods...stay away from salt and fatty foods! Eat more white meats: chicken, fish, etc. Stay away from egg yokes and red meats. good luck...:O) Answer to your question: you can do anything you put your mind to!

Aerobics, jumping rope, running, sparring, trampoline. All will lose more than that per week

On average, to lose ONE pound you have to burn 3500 calories. 3-4 pounds per week is not healthy. 2 pounds per week is safe, and pretty rapid weight loss. 1200 calories/day is not many at all, so be careful with such low calories.
You may lose 3 pounds one week, and then 1 pounds the next week. However, don't get discouraged. Once you lose the weight that has to come off first, it starts coming off slower. Your eating plan sounds reasonable. So you could probably lose about 3 pounds. Good luck.
