Is this okay to eat??
Question: I'm 13 and I'm buying my lunch at school tomorrow. Is this an okay lunch to have?
-1 slice of cheese pizza
-apple or orange slices
-side salad with a little light italian
-milk
Our school doesn't offer very many healthy choices, and I normally eat pretty healthy, so is having pizza occationally okay? I'm not trying to lose any weight, i just like to eat healthy most of the time. I also get exercise, so is this okay? Thanks :)
Answers: better than my lunch. our school serves fried chicken and fries EVERYDAY. any lunch is better than no lunch.
you are doing great.
thats fine...............as long as it is in moderation!!!!!!!!11
its always okay to allow urself that treat once in a while exspecially if ur body can allow for it, hence ur in relatively good shape and such..
it wont hurt or help u to eat it but if u like the taste then by all means, now if u just eat it because its the only thing to eat then thats another question..i guess u have to eat it! unless theres other choices of course..
but if u like the taste go ahead, 1 or 2 times a week wont hurt ya!
Generally, anything in moderation is okay, unfortunately items that are massed-produced like school lunches are made with ingredients that are less than healthy. If the pizza dough is made with olive oil and wheat flour, and the cheese is whole-fat (I know, it sounds weird - but it is really better for you..), and it is topped with veggies - it is good. I doubt however that these are the ingredients. Check with your school board and ask for nutritional information about their foods. Usually, information like this is free and easy to access. The salad is very good - especially if it is made with darker lettuce like red leaf or romaine. Iceberg lettuce is nutritionally deficient. the apple or orange is good, the milk is okay - but it really would be better to drink water. Too much dairy is not good for you. Choose the cheese or the milk, not both. You can get more calcium from broccoli than you can from milk. It's nice to see that you are taking responsibility for what you put into your body. Remember - food is our medicine. We eat to live, not live to eat.
it looks alright to me
