Are u sposto use 2x your weight in protein grams when your using protein??


Question: i heard that today..
i drink a 32g drink of protien before working out with whole milk
my friend says if i weigh 150 then i gotta be taking 300g
i think thats crazy but what is the right answer?

Anyway your friend is crazy. Is he saying you need 300g of protein, or 300g of your drink?
did you have some indigestion or some painful times at the bathroom. You do know that over consumption of protein can cause some protein deficiencies in your body.
From what I've been told and what I've read, you are supposed to consume 1 gram of protien for each pound of body weight. I weigh 220 lbs, so I would take 220 grams of protein.
YOUR FRIEND IS CONFUSED, IS 2X YOUR WEIGHT IN KILOGRAMS, IF YOU WEIGHT 150 LBS, YOU WEIGHT ABOUT 75 KILOS, 2 TIMES YOUR WEIGHT IN KILOS, WOULD BE 150 GRAMS. WHICH WILL BE 1 GRAM PER POUND OF BODYWEIGHT.
SO, IT IS 2 TIMES YOUR WEIGHT...BUT IN KILOS.
