2% or whole milk??
Question: I know 2% had less fat but does it lose vitamins?
Answers: It does not lose vitamins. Consider trying soy milk though, it is the same amount of calcium.
No the vitamins are the same they just take out the fat that you don't need.
2% i read somewhere that no you don't lose vitamins but ou do loos more the fat i used t give my daughter whole milk until i read that and now she gets 2% and she is growing just fine and she is as healthy as can be
ALL you lose is the fat. And saturated fat at that. Just compare the labels of the two. It's good to get in the habit of reading the labels on all food. It helps you make the right choices for actual life-style weight loss and maintenance of a good weight, while getting proper nutrition. Sure beats a lifetime of going from one delusional diet after another.
skim dose not even lose vitaimns and way lees fat go with skim
Soy!!!
No, they have the same amount of vitamins. 2% actually has a little MORE protein and calcium.
(Whole milk is about 3.5% fat - almost twice as much as the 2%)
Non-fat or skim milk is best!
Calcium is important in the diet, you can also get it from green veggies. Go for the 2% or 1%. Males don't have to worry as much about bone density as females, bc males have testosterone. Regardless, the heart still needs calcium for teeth and nerve impluses across cell membranes - think heart.
As someone else suggested, there is always soy as an option. You can get it in vanilla flavoring and it's terrific on cereal.
As for regular drinking milk - always for the the ORGANIC milk!!!!
The taste is sooooooo much better - I know it costs more BUT it's worth it. After you drink that you won't go back to the garbage on the regular shelves. It's great with chocolate chip cookies too!
no.the only difference is the fat.you can get the same benefit drinking 2%.
It's just reduced in fat, not vitamins.
