Am I getting weaker!??
Question: I work out on Mon, Wed, and Fri. The first week I do 3 sets of 5 reps. Each week I increase the # of reps by 1 or 2, which seems to be working very well. When I get up to the 8-10 rep mark...I find that I CAN'T lift to the # I'm supposed to. I eat plenty of protein, and drink protien shakes and so forth. What's going on. If you're here to help, please do...but if you're gonna answer with a smart remark...just keep it to yourself!! I don't have time for it!
Answers: Sounds like your muscular endurance is pretty low. To build your endurance (to be able to finish the set) you can do things like press ups etc. but the best way to do it is to do as much as you can and also 5 reps is extremely low i would recommend 6 at the least. Muscular endurance (like alot of strength related issues) comes down to the practice makes perfect! formula.
