Is organic food really that much better for you??
Question: Does it make a difference truly? I always get organic milk because I dont like the idea of drinking milk laced with antibiotics and growth hormones but seriously, everything else. What do you think?
Answers: I would agree, buy organic milk. As for other food products, I usually go by the following list. If it is high in pesticides, I try to buy organic, if it is not, I buy regular.
Highest in Pesticides
These 12 popular fresh fruits and vegetables are consistently the most contaminated with pesticides. Buy these organic.
• Apples
• Bell Peppers
• Celery
• Cherries
• Grapes (imported)
• Nectarines
• Peaches
• Pears
• Potatoes
• Red Raspberries
• Spinach
• Strawberries
Lowest in Pesticides
These 12 popular fresh fruits and vegetables consistently have the lowest levels of pesticides.
• Asparagus
• Avocados
• Bananas
• Broccoli
• Cauliflower
• Corn (sweet)
• Kiwi
• Mangos
• Onions
• Papaya
• Pineapples
• Peas (sweet)
I don't really think it does. If you think about it, alot of food was once treated with chems way before this organic thing made the scene. There wasn't a mass plague of sick people, so I don't see how it makes an impact nowadays. Besides, until Organic food becomes cheaper, I'll just buy what I'm buying now.
go Vegan.. then you will really be healthy.
No meat
No dairy
Do you get organic meat too? Cause it's just as full of atibiotics and chemicals as regul;ar milk is...if not more. And vegetables grown in chemicals have residue also. Ick!! I try to eat organic when I can, but I'm not fanatical about it. It's better for you.
ALL ORGANIC FOODS ARE NOT BETTER
ORGANIC FRUITS AND VEGIES
HEALTHY THINGS
BUT ORGANIC COOKIES ARE NOT
THEY ARE BETTER DEPENDING
i dont really worry about organic all that much. some people do. some fruits and vegetables should be bought organic since you do eat the skin and could be eating the chemicals and such. organic is to expensive for me though.
Nobody knows for sure! I also eat and drink organic, as do my kids. We are trying to avoid the bombardment of totally useless chemicals that are thrown at us from all directions in our wonderful modern society.
But to answer your question, no one has (yet) conclusively proven that we are doing the right thing
Organic food can still be sprayed with a lot of things.
All food is safe to eat. Time limits are set on each chemical depending on how fast it breaks down. When you eat the food the chemicals are virtually gone.
Organic food is food with bugs in it!
no ,nit so realy..
all i know is that its usually not better tasting. have you tried organic bananas grossss man.
Ummm... Food not contaminated with artificial chemicals? Well, I guess in theory, it is better for you. On the other hand, 100 years ago, all food was organic, but life expectancy was much shorter. But maybe that was because of infectious diseases and having to work too hard. Hard to say one way or the other.
omg I feel the same freakin way...I'm always concious of what I'm buying like meat and stuff I don't know what to purchase cause it's so freakin expensive...I heard it's better for our organs though
