Stretch marks??


Question: does anyone knows what causes stretch marks?
Ways to prevent it?
ways to stop it from continuing?
Does every race has it?
Answers: just that - your skin is stretching for what ever reason, pregnancy or just way over weight! There is no prevention, but keeping your self moisturized w/ a good lotion helps to minimize them. Once they are there, they are there (unless you have plastic surgery), and yes, we all get them under above mentioned circumstances.
expanding then losing weight fast without the skin being able to adjust...Every race has it, its a question of how notiable it is..preventing it? I am not sure but cocoa butter helps in reduing the appearance of them.

Stretch Marks

They first appear as reddish or purple lines, but tend to gradually fade to a lighter color.
Causes:
1- Losing collagen and elastin in the skin.
2- Excessive stretching in the skin due to rapid weight gain but once the body returns to the original unstretched size (after childbirth or weight loss, for example) stretch marks often become much less noticeable.
3- Can occur to athletes and body builders due to repetitive exercises.
Place of appearance:
At any place in the body but especially in the highle fat stored ones.
Prevention:
no assured method of preventing stretch marks.
