Stretch Marks??


Question: Is it from losing weight or gaining weight??
Answers: it's from gaining weight obviously since they're STRETCH marks. they do show up a little more though when you lose weight again i think.
Gaining, usually.
It is from a) losing a lot of weight; or b) having a baby which is also losing a lot of weight
BOTH! Once you get them you don't ever ever get rid of them! Its usually from being skinny and getting pregnant. I have them on the legs and a bit under my tummy. I have had them for twenty two years now and never have successfully got rid of them. I think the only way is to have them surgically removed-the skin cut out completely! It is caused from stretching of the skin. It avoid them it is recommended to use coco butter on the skin daily until the weight has been lost. I cant speak from experience because i never followed that regiment but it sure would be better to do that than find out how awful stretch marks look for the rest of your life! Just take precautions not to get them. If you get pregnant, use it on the belly daily! Good Luck.
You get stretch marks when you grow or gain weight really quickly. Use coco butter.
I'VE ALWAYS HEARD IT'S FROM LOSING WEIGHT THEN GAINING IT THEN LOSING IT AGAIN...WHEN I GOT PREGNANT I WAS SMALL AS I STARTED GAINING WEIGHT I NOTICED A FEW STRETCH MARKS THEN WHEN I HAD THE BABY AND LOST ALL THE WEIGHT I GOT A TON! NOT A PLEASANT THING FOR SURE BUT WELL WORTH IT FOR MY BABY....BUT EVEN BEFORE THAT I WAS REALLY SMALL WHEN I WAS YOUNGER AND THEN STARTED GAINING WEIGHT AND LOSING AND GETTING STRETCH MARKS...MY MOM HAD SIX KIDS AND STILL DOESN'T HAVE ANY STRETCH MARKS SO IN SOME CASES I THINK IT HAS TO DO WITH HOW PLIABLE YOUR SKIN IS...
it can be from both and neither. i had them even when i was skinny. just from the stretching of the skin. I had them on my knees because i use to march a lot and I had skinny legs. so think you have to be fat to have them.
