Losing spare tires around waist.....very hard HELP??

Question: I have been going to the gym for 3 months and eating healthy. I lift free weights and run on the treadmill for about 3 miles a day. I have lost around 20lbs and now weight at 163lbs. I will also note that I am 5'10 . My goals have been to put on muscle mass and loss most all my fat, to have a lean muscular body. I have done well so far but this stubborn fat right at the bottom of my stomach will not go away. What should I do to get rid of this, ive tryed to work harder and I cant very well eat less because then I will be hurting my muscle gains. I eat stuff low in fat, like fruit, vegtables, lean meat, Fat Free yogurts, drink plenty of water, but I also have been taking muscle milk and a workout suppliment. What should I do?
Answers: this unfortunatly is the hardest place to lose weight...ever. especially if you are a guy. it could also be genetic fat. Either way it is not impossible to lose...but very difficult. It sounds like you are doing a good job in general though...just keep up the good work and monitor this area well with a measurement tape. If anything it takes longer to slim down this area. Also you have to try cardio and aerobic exercises to lose weight in this area...i know you are trying to maintain muscle mass but your fat there wont automatically turn to muscle. so less lifting weights for that area....also consume lots of protein for muscle mass
