Eating salads??
Question: I am wanting to become a vegitarian ! If I eat salad everyday for lunch and dinner is this bad? I will eat other items as well but this will be my mane course! My bf's parents do this and they are supper skinny they have been vegitarians for 20 years. Will it also help me loose my 30 pounds in three months. I will be getting my other nutriants in fruit daily soy milk and vitamins. Just wanted to know if it waws unhealthy to eat salad 2 meals a day?
Answers: You need some protein in there too. Make sure you add some chicken for a ceaser salad or some beef for a taco salad. Carbs are good too in moderation, like a bread stick or something. You need to make sure you eat your max amount of calories a day, too, or your body will go into starvation mode. You should be somewhere between 1800-2000 a day.
if you're wanting to become a vegetarian... there are chicken nuggets by morningstar that are for vegetarians... if you put a couple of those in the microwave and then cut them up and put them on your salad its really yum. Also look into boco burgers for your taco salads (if you choose to go that route)... morningstar has a lot of really good foods for vegetarians... but it is processed food so don't go overboard! :)

Lettuce is very hard on your system to digest. Go to the library or do some research on other vegetarian items to eat. If you want to loose weight at a little exercise to this.
It's fine, just don't drown your salads in dressing. Plus, don't make up for not eating meat by eating bread. I've had friends to to turn vegetarian like me but ended up gaining weight becuase of breads (carbs.)
sounds like you are trying to be part of your b/f family. they might be skinny but are they healthy. if you feel the need to loose weight go on a proper diet. becoming a vegi will not help you.
It is unhealthy unless you add the appropriate things to the salad like chick peas, corn, tofu, etc. Also, be sure to incorporate plenty of fruit in that diet as well.

How much do you weigh already? Cause I'm veggie, and i wouldn't say i'm super skinny - but being veggie doesn't mean all you can eat is salads at all!
