Does Muscle Milk work??
Question: I have been lifting and going to the gym everyday for the past 6 months now and my weight max has been improving, however, I was wondering if anyone has tried muscle milk? If so, what does it do? Does it burn fat, add body mass, recover muscles? I also would like to know when it is the most affective to take it, before a workout or after. Thanks!
Answers: I drink muscle milk! It does work. It all depends on what your trying to accomplish. Muscle milk is a meal replacement. I usually take it for breakfast only because it has fat,carbs and calories so my body burns it thru out the day or might take it for lunch aswell! I would recommend a straight whey protien after your workout cause your body obsorbs anything your put in it an hour after you workout. Eat alot of chicken ham egg whites and peanut butter.......stay away from any kind of sugar! In order to burn fat you must keep you metabolism going throught the day. Eat 5 times a day not full meals just snacks or protien bar, chicken, just to keep something in your stomch, even muscle milk would help as one of your meals! If i were you i would take whey protien!
My husband and I talked to a guy at the gym last night that uses Muscle Milk. He said it adds mass very quickly. I was looking at the nutrition facts, which were: 39g protein, 330 calories, 16g fat. Seems like alot of calories and fat, but I guess that's what is needed to add mass.

I drink it when I want to build mass. If you really want to build mass quickly, drink 2 or 3 a day. Drink one after your workout and the other ones after a meal. I wouldn't recommend it between meals as it has a lot of protein and will kill your appetite (counterproductive to its intended use). They taste much better than some of those other drinks on the market. My personal favorite is the Mocha Joe, but they're all pretty tasty.
