How long does it take for a tooth to decay??
Question: I lost a crown to the remaining tooth is ground down and vulnerable. How long before it suffers damage?
Answers: Your tooth will get infected very quickly. Underneath that crown it's been shrouded from the big mean world of your bacteria-infested mouth and will be more brittle than usual now. Not only will it become infected soon but will also probably chip or break.
it could be a week or a few years but u really should see a dentist to get it sorted before you get in any pain
It all depends on how long you neglect the situation. A cavity keeps getting bigger and eventually will hit the nerve of the tooth. If is small take care of it now before gets bigger.
