How can I get rid of canker sores in my mouth??

Question: I have tried everything but nothing seems to help. I have have bought all the products made for this problem but nothing has given me any relief. It is very painful and I cannot wear my bridge.
What causes this problem?
Answers: Rince your mouth with warm salt water several times a day. Use 1 teaspoon of salt per 8 ounces of water.

You may have an ill-fitting removable partial denture. Make an appointment and let your dentist check it.
drinking lemon juice or rinsing your mouth with mouthwash. I've even heard that using hydrogen peroxide mixed with a little water will work too.
canker sores are the result of a bad stomach. so try not eating one day and just drink water to clear toxins from the stomach. Then try other methods like rinsing your mouth with peroxide, salt or any of the other so called quick methods.
high five to the host of this question. I just got my second canker sore, and this one put me throught the worst of time. I was so mad at myself for getting this thing. Like I just gotten some kind of disease. I was lossing it because I thought since my lower lip was swelling up. I wasnt gonna have a kissing date this weekend. but now I can relaxe. I found out from reading this ad, my toothpaste that i didnt want to part with (bubble gum favor ) had sodium in it. and I when I ran out of Koolaide last week, I used tea bags. But that all good. I wash/rinsed my mouth. but not just with salt water like most people here said I added one teaspoon white distilled vinegar and that left out the sting. and removed my dry peeling skin. and the swelling that moment. I feel great. soon I'll be ready for my weekend kiss. thanks siters.
eat more yogurt. works for me.
Somethinhg rubbing on your gums causes this.. try a salt water rinse or a special gel availiable at your pharmacy.
haha!just want to try whether can answer or not....Eh??can....haha!2 points...
Your body may have an acidic PH Balance. If you have tried everything, and nothing makes it go away, you might want to read on: Our body is in a constant struggle to maintain proper pH levels - too acidic means the body has to work extra hard to expel excess acidic ash waste or allow it to pile up; too alkaline often means the body is struggling with low electrolyte levels that weaken muscle and nerve functions. A consistent pH imbalance - either too acidic or too alkaline - interferes with the body's basic operations, causing far reaching problems.
The second person was on point, I skip the salt water and just use straight salt, it hurts like hell for the first minute or so but after that, the pain subside and the sores usually take about 1 1/2 days to heal to the point where they don't bother me anymore. If you have tried everything else wih no relief, give this a try, it's been working for me since I was 12.
take two lactobacillus tabs 4x a day chewed then swallowed with milk also make sure you take b complex especially b12 and folic acid
Vegemite! If you live in the US, or anywhere outside of Australia/NZ for that matter you probably can't get it in the supermarket but if you go to a Deli they should have it. That is what I use, just dab a bit on a few times a day, it always gets rid of them.
As others have mentioned, I get them when I am particularly stressed or have injured the sensitive tissue inside my cheek or on my tongue. My outbreaks last for a shorter period if I try (to the extent that I can control it) to reduce the stressors in my current circumstance. Exercise also helps (but don't ask me why). Finally, I deal with the pain by gargling with Listerine or Scope (or another alcohol-containing mouthwash). This helps especially when I have an outbreak and have to speak in front of a large group or in a formal circumstance (which happens fairly often because I am a trial attorney). Best of luck to you in dealing with a difficult and painful problem.
There's aphadopolis (sp?) which is a pill you can take and more sleep might help too
When I was little, my mother used to use silver nitrate sticks that you could purchase at the pharmacy...don't know if that is still available though. Increase your vitamin C and B complex vitamins. I have also heard that more zinc in your diet is good for the prevention of canker sores too.
Dip a Q-Tip in some essential oil of clove and put it on the sore. This should clear it up in 2-3 days. This also works for toothaches as it is an analgesic. ALL essential oils have anti-bacterial AND anti-viral properties, but only certain onces can be used as I just told you.

I hope this has helped.
I get canker sores once in awhile usually I have stomach problems around the same time. Aside from something like kanka to take care of the pain, I rinse with a little baking soda in warm water after eating or drinking anything. You can also drink some down if you can stomach it. It neutralizes the acid in your system. Always check with your doctor first before trying any remedy though.
You could rinse with peroxide and water just about a cap full half water half peroxide. Don't swallow it though.
My wife gets canker sores from using the wrong kind of toothpaste, like gels. We think the main trigger is a chemical detergent called Sodium Laureth Sulfate. It's in just about every shampoo or toothpaste made today, but some people are sensitive to it.

Rembrandt sells a variety of toothpaste especially for canker sore sufferers. It doesn't contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate. It's a little expensive, but she swears by it. She says eating acidic fruits like raw pineapple is also a factor for her.
stop touching and licking it...
Get the toothpaste that reduces gum sensitivity it will kill off the herpes for a while too.
Gargle your mouth with peroxide.
Pepto Bismol !! It's used for stomach ulcers in combo. with other meds.

Soak a piece of cotton in it and place it on the canker sore for as long as possible. Mine usually go away within a day.
put toothpaste. dont bite on it. and lots of sleep
i'm not sure what causes it but get some camphor-phenol from walgreens. it's an anesthetic and it should be help some. it should heal them some, but you should honestly talk to a dentist.
sum medicine shuld do the trick, if not, ask ur doctor. i remmbr sumthin about salt that helps.
Eww, sounds gross.
try gurgling Listerine or salt water(not from the sea but salt mixed with water).
Several years ago, a doctor told me to drink large quantities of org. juice. For me, it worked!
Take a minium of 1000 mgs of vitamin c daily. I had problems periodically but since I have made sure to take at least 1000 by drinking juice or pill i havent gotten even 1
try rinsing your mouth out with warm water...and salt....if that dosent work let it heal on its own...GOOD LUCK!
