Are braces gonna hurt so bad i get to skip school??
Question: okay i got spacers yesterday they dont hurt i dont feel anything they dont huurt at all!okay im getting braces on my top teeth with an herbst device and spacers on the bottom next tuesday will i die of pain and somebody who has experienced the herbst device before how does it feel im very curious and please say ALL about it!
Answers: Hi. I know what you're going through. I just got my braces on January 22nd. Spacers didn't hurt the first day. The third day was the worst. . . but tylenol does take the pain away.
Braces didn't hurt either the first 2 days. The third day was horrible. I couldn't even swallow! My tongue and cheeks were sliced open, and I didn't think I would make it another day like that. Oralgel worked great, along with tylenol. Also- warm saltwater rinses really help the sores. Make sure you get wax from the orthodontist, and if you run out, they sell it at walmart, or rite-aid. It does get better.... but for me, the first 3 days were bad.
If I weren't homeschooled, I wouldn't have gone to school the third day.

no probably not. After i got mine, i went right back to school. lol good luck, they are fine after a while!!

unless your just a pussy no. but dont get me wrong your teeth will hurt to an extent. ive had spacers, expanders, braces, the whole nine yards and from my experince your teeth will be sore for about a week aftrer you get your braces. your probably gonna have to stick to soft foods. pudding, jellos, smoothies, pasta etc... But after that things should get better. thats is untill you get them tightened and then the process starts all over.
