What causes bad breath even though you go to the dentist and to the doctor??
Question: I brush, visit the dentist, but i have a bad odor on my breath , i'm very self conscious. if you have any pointer please help me.
Answers: I am assuming that you have a hygienists clean your teeth at the Dentist. Having said that, do you floss at least twice a day? You floss to remove tartar and food particles between the teeth. Do you eat a lot of garlic or spicy food, that can cause terrible breath? You also need to brush your tongue as a lot of bacteria can form there. If all that is taken care of, you could check out your sinuses and tonsils. If you have an infection in either it can cause an odour. Last but not least, check with your Family Dr., perhaps you could have a bad stomach that requires looking in to. I hope something works but if all fails, go to a good breath mint or gum with chlorophyll.
assuming that you have all the dental care possible, like brush your teeth, use dental floss, use dental antiseptics and so on, the only likely cuase is a problem in the gastrointestinal tract (most common the esophagus ot the stomach in less frecuency) and that need a doctor examination
Another cause is a liver disease, but its not likely because it has hundreds of symptoms more health threatening than just bad breath and you would notice them
Hope be helpful
Bad breath comes from two places: your mouth and your stomach. If your mouth is clean, then it's the food in your stomach. Parsley helps for this, as well as some oil caps that can be bought in most stores to neutralize the odors coming from your stomach.
I Have this problem too.
Try mouth wash.
and GUM!!
the best stuff.
I always use Big Red gum.
use one piece a day make the whole piece last by tearing it into little pieces to last you for the whole day! =+)
Maybe you have halitosis, you should tell the dentist about this and maybe try using some stronger toothpaste and take breath mints whenever you go out in public. Or you could visit your doctor.
Brush your tongue aswell if you don't. Get it foamy with toothpaste. Most bad breath comes from that. Then, gargle and swish with mouth wash. Then. plenty of water. Dehydration can cause bad breath. 8 glasses a day.
Stay away from garlic or onions if you plan on being with company later.
If that doesn't work, you're boned.
It could be your diet. It could be a medical condition. It could be medications you take. After you determine that it is not a medical condition (see your doctor), carry breath mints or strips or sprays. Just be careful about the sugar you are consuming.
Post nasal drip can cause bad breath. I have chronic rhinitis with post nasal drip. I keep breath mints handy.
UMMM! GARGLE BLEACH. J/K TRY SCRAPING YOUR TOUNGE WITH A TOOTHBRUSH. THEN LISTERENE, THEN LOTS OF WATER AND CHEW STRONG GUM.
Sometimes waiting too long in between meals will cause it or the problem could be dietary.
sometimes you can help it. i would suggest some mints. or some listerine mouth rinse after you brush as well as flossing
if you keep your teeth clean maybe try taking a look at your diet most smells come from the stomach oh and when brushing your teeth brush brush the whole of your mouth no just teeth
You may have gum disease. Ask your doctor this question he may be able to find out the answer for you.
It could be your diet, or you could also have a more serious underlying problem with your stomach or any other part of the digestive system. See a doctor if it's really serious and you have tried all oral remedies.
Foods that you eat over night settle in your stomach and breakdown to cause bad breath uver night!!!!! There are lots of products in the store that helps the dentist should have told you which ones, ask again!!!!!!
Get a flashlight and check your tonsil area, in the back of your throat, on both sides. There are little pocket holes, that accumlate food matter. It will usually look white or grey. If you spot it, that is what can cause really bad breath. Don't attempt to remove it with anything as it can cause serious injury. Instead, gargle with warm water and salt at least 3 to for times a day. This will make it come out of the pockets in the tonsils.
The other thing is that you may have stomach problems.
If you are constipated, that can cause bad breath as well. Surprised?...but it true, it can do that. It is like a sewer backup.
hope this helps you.
