What is the best pain killer for after major dental surgury??

Question: I am having 20 teeth extracted this week, and then will have immediate dentures put in. What kind of pain medication should I try to find. I know the dentist will only prescribe vicadin, and that really wont do it for me, thats a whole lot of teeth to be pulled, leaving me in stitches.
Answers: Vicodin or Lortab is what is usually prescribed at the dentist office I work in. You can try Ibuprofen for when you are driving or working around machinary. I don't know what to tell you. Maybe as for Percocet? or Darvocet?
Hmm. how about the stuff that caused you to lose the 20 teeth?
Tramadol, i was put on that and it worked wonders after i had my wisdom teeth removed.
Other than that im not too sure!
But all the best and i hope you have a speedy recovery with as less pain as possible
I'd suggest tramadol or diclofenac...id go with the diclofenac its a powerful anti-inflammatory only on prescription and you normally take one three times a day...ask the doc.
