What natural herb with make me feel energized??

Question: I am always tired, and cannot stay awake for more than 11 hours. I work 10 hours a day at work and need to keep awake and alert. What kind of natural herbs or supplements can help me feel alert and energized all day long, and stay awake longer than only 11 hours?
Answers: Ginseng, siberian ginseng, ginko, st. john's wort, cayenne, dandelion (whole plant). Your diet may also be lacking. I'm slightly anemic and if I miss my iron pill, I am super tired for a couple days. Also if I eat too much dairy then that bogs me down a bit. Do you drink enough water?
You can google these herbs for more details and if they would help you in your situation.
From a nurse who has the same problem...Try organic Power Noni, organic acai, organic gogi-all juices. You can get them at the health food store and make a small cocktail. I would also suggest getting your thyroid checked just to be sure. Check out your life. Is there anything you are metaphorically tired of? Our bodies respond to what we say, so if you repeatedly say you're tired of something, your body hears it. An overall checkup would probably be the first thing I'd do before anything else. Remember the thyroid! Also remember that just like pain, tiredness is a voice from your body trying to tell you something. If you can find the root problem, it'll be easier to deal with it. Meanwhile, the juices won't hurt! I've heard Ginseng is good too, as are small meals or snacks every few hours. Just don't put the cart before the horse. Check up first!
I know of a natural tonic that is high in potassium and energizing roots that even helps people that suffer from migranes.

Licorice Root.
Health Benefits
Despite the fact that licorice has been for centuries used as flavoring, its medicinal qualities are also known and used by the herbalists. The plant is effective for coughs and sore throat. Modern cough syrups often include licorice extract as an ingredient. It is useful in treating inflammatory stomach conditions (licorice increases the production of protective mucus in the stomach which reduces acid secretion), ulcers, adrenal insufficiencies such as hypoglycemia and Addison's disease; rejuvenates heart and spleen, purifies the liver and bloodstream. Licorice root is also successfully used for skin conditions. The herb is known to be effective for counteracting stress and treating depression.
Black tea, I think.
jing seng
NOT marijuana. Mostly, that just relaxes you even more. Try drinking tea. I live with an alcoholic who is always loud and obnoxious, and I can never sleep until about 5am, then I leave for school at 7:15am. I drink a lot of tea, and I munch on things like carrot sticks. I also drink Java Monsters. I know those aren't a natural supplement, but dang they're good!
The licorice is a good send, read about it first though and make sure it isn'nt counter-indicated for your specific health. Too much licorice is a bad thing and can cause problems. If it helps you, it may be a sign that you need to check into adrenal function. If you have adrenal issues, Adrenal Cortex Extract will be a godsend for you. Other things mentioned in other answers are good too. I'd especially check into taking a good B complex 2 x a day (not too close to bedtime).

The other thing is to stay away from caffeine and refined sugars (white table sugar, high fructose corn syrup other processed food sugars) they will give you a boost, but then a serious crash and burn, which sets you up for fatigue. Artificial sweeteners aren't an appropriate substitute. Look to honey, turbinado (which can replace white sugar 1 for 1) and molasses. An all natural non sugar sweetener that is a great alternative is Stevia.
spirulina is a energy boost it comes as a drink or tablet
