PLEASE Help Again!! Is this normal ??
Question: I have been having weird heart beats since I was taken off of Ritalin.Is this normal or the did the Ritalin do this to me??? I'm afraid to see a doctor.I don't wanna be put back on pills, I can't take being on those anymore. Someone help me please this Ritalin has really messed me up.

Answers: I'm not sure if what you said is related to what is happening to me because i sometimes fell like that my heart hurts really bad and it seems like an arrow went in... but i don't want to go to a doctor eighter because I'm kinda scared but i heard that when you get older something happens so i would go to the Doctor.
it can be a withdrawl side effect but see the doctor,he won't put you back on the pills, but he will explain the side effects and how long they will laugh
Ritalin is an addictive narcotic drug . depending on how long you have been off these medications you may be having drug withdrawal problems . I was placed on them at 40 years old for memory problems after I found out they were so addictive I quit . was told to taper off slowly .I did not and suffered the same as you described. And the memory problems were caused be a reaction to another wonderful drug the Doctor had me on for diabetes.
There are alternative remedy's for ADD/HD I use them for my foster children and it has worked wonders. make orange leaf tea . brew 10-15 green orange leaves drink one cup twice daily sweeten with honey use milk if you choose , it does not taste too,bad and it has a awesome calming effect.
I also used colloidal gold purchased from www.utopiasilver.com

my brother had the same affects when he came off the Ritalin. It freaked him out. But the doctor told him it is normal, but if it beats constantly and faster got to the hospital asap as it can cause you to go into body shock. ie a seisure. Which my brother had. Really the doctor should have modified you prescription to lessin this affect. My brother's doctor lessened it oo much and this is what happened.
Um..I think maybe they just made you paranoid..But there are certain side effects...so..id definately go to the doctor..
Oh my! Don't be afraid to see a doctor, that's not safe! I am not sure what to do, but really, you should see a doctor. Did you have any other weird happenings while on Ritalin?
